Had 8 of these bought from another seller over 2 years ago that have held up well...none have broken. They have a strong spring mechanism, but aged hands have no trouble opening them. They show no sign of rust and I use them in the freezers frequently. Yes, they are somewhat heavy, but it cause us no grief on lightweight items.....it just flops over and hangs there....no big deal. These are tight without being an ordeal to squeeze open. No twisting either.But as others have said, they’re pretty sharp. I went into this knowing I’d have to do the finishing touches on these. I spent probably about an hour with a metal file softening the edges.I still give it 5 stars. The price and sturdiness of the build make it worth the little bit of a one-time hassle. From all appearances there’s no reason these shouldn’t last many many years.

I love these clips! I got them because I don't like plastic clips or things that break. Stainless steel is my favorite for kitchen items. I started with a set of 20 because the price was great and I figured I'd use them eventually. Within a month or two, I realized that I could keep an additional 20 in use. Then I ordered 20 more. That box is not empty yet. I purchase many food items in bulk such as tea, spices, and frozen fruit or bags of sauerkraut. The plastic seals are often hard to close or defective. Folding the top and using one or more clips is so easy. I'm enjoying these.

These have worked well for us. They are strong enough, but not too hard to open. We've used them on a variety of bags and they have done what we needed.
