I purchased this cable because my Roku device's cable wasn't long enough to reach a power outlet. I initially used an extension cord but I didn't feel comfortable putting another cable between the device and the outlet. When I browsed Amazon for an alternative USB cable, this cable stood out the most. First of all it's 10 feet long and it works with a number of streaming devices. I think it's safe to say that this cable is compatible with every streaming device. If your streaming device is old or outdated, then I can't say that it will be compatible for sure. So far so good but I did just hook it up. I read reviews. It was only $8 or $9 so it was worth the risk. I have an older fire stick. Not alexa. Idk if that matters but the newer ones might require more power input. I lost my orig usb cord but I still had the plug. The usb that I was using fit very loosely in the usb female firestck port, was not sufficient power, and even though it MIGHT work occasionally it would shut down and restart the firestick. My old roku power cable was thin and cheap as per usual. I broke it by accident one day. After breaking it a second time i couldn't get it to work anymore. I ordered this new wire and it's so much heavier and beefier. Nice construction. Great buy.

For whatever reason, a regular USB charger doesn't work for Amazon firestick. This USB works perfectly for my firestick.

Purchased for new Firestick (needed a longer cord than the one that came in the box) and honestly picked this one because it was the length I wanted and the price was the lowest, or one of the lowest. I hadn't given it any thought beyond those 2 things, so when it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the quality is. In fact, I'd say it seems quite a bit better than the original (from Amazon) that I swapped it out for. Bonus!

Great long cord for the Fire TV Stick. Needed a longer connection for a wall mounted TV that would allow updates and this works great. Highly recommend.
