2nd one, 1st lasted a couple decades
I had this same model (made in America) in my house from the 70s, I just bought the same exact model to replace it (made in China). I can honestly say the new one is better made than the old one. The metal is about the same thickness, but the bottom grate is better and is moveable (you can open the grate with a handle supplied with the stove to dump the ashes) in the new model. I would recommend this model especially if it is on sale. I paid $1100 on sale. It is a coal burner, so it is not as efficient as a newfangled wood burner, but I don't care about efficiency I care about burning a lot of

It is installed & working.
There is nothing wrong with the heater. I agree with the Wisconsin buyer, it is better then the original of 50 years ago.the problems are with packaging & shipping. Mine came in with a hole in the back of package & broke out the fan cover from fork lift mishandling. Fortunately it was on the back side where some straightening took care of it.

Love this stove's I use it for burning wood in my house. Had to get a new one. the price of this stove's went way up in cost to get a new one Amazon had a great deal on them so I got two stoves. One stove like this last me like 15 years so I'll be stet for a long time. Fast delivery
