The one I received was defective. Or I could not get the thread adjusted properly and I tried everything it continuously stopped the motor with too much tension. It’s a cute machine. Very light and plastic. Seems kind of like a kids toy. I didn’t order a replacement, so I cannot say if another would work better. It cost almost $200 with tax and so I decided I would rather have a heavier weight item.

This is a fantastic little machine. Nice and small, easy to take to sew along days. Reasonable noise level when stitching. This is NOT a fast machine! Definitely for slow-stitching days. I have used it a lot and have had very few problems with it, very durable and reliable. It is a little difficult to thread but the included threader makes it a little easier and once I got the hang of it I haven't had any problems. I highly recommend this machine if you want an inexpensive travel machine.

Unlike knitters and crocheters, it's hard for a machine quilter like me to have a portable hobby without a tool like this, and this little unit fits the bill entirely.
