For most of my power tools I usually buy DeWalt devices, but one of the great things about the Craftsman brand is that since they're owned by the same company as DeWalt a lot of their stuff is almost as good and often totally compatible -- although annoyingly their batteries, despite being very similar, can't be swapped (without an adapter) between Craftsman and DeWalt tools for unknown reasons, their accessories like the oscillating tools here can be used across the brands' devices very easily. These aggressive grit blades cut through 110-year-old thick plaster walls and ceilings which I'm using to create the wall openings to install junction boxes for 20 electrical outlets, multiple wall switches, and over 80 square recessed ceiling lights. Unlike jig and reciprocating saws, these oscillating multi-purpose blades don't create cracks in the plaster or hangs up on the laths underneith.The biggest con when using these blades is the massive concrete dust storm they create. This kit was compatible with my Ryobi oscillating tool even though it wasn't on the compatibility list.The case is nice but you need to save the plastic piece the blades are held in to keep any organization. If not, it turns into a basic hollow case with the pieces just thrown inside.I have only used the rectangular blade to cut drywall during a media box install and the blade worked great for that.

This is my review of CRAFTSMAN General Purpose Oscillating Tool Set with Case (CMAO516). I feel the components that are included in this set work well. The variety of blades fit my Makita Oscillating tool perfectly. The sanding pad is larger than the one I previously used. The sandpaper lasts for a decent amount of time. This is a good starter set as well for those who have a new tool. This is a good product from a good company therefore I will rate it 5 stars.
