Needed a quick replacement for basic clothes mending and this fits the bill nicely. Switching between the stitch patterns using the dial on the side is simple, and the reverse stitch function helps lock down the ends so seams don't pull apart later. The hand-switch start is convenient when you just want a quick stitch without plugging in the foot pedal. The plastic body is very lightweight, so I suggest putting a small rubber mat underneath if you're working on a slick table, but otherwise it works like a charm.
