I never played the original Crossfire and despite being an elder millennial I have zero recollection of the commercial, so this is all new to me!Setup is pretty simple and I love that all the pieces are contained within the game "board". Much less likely to misplace pieces if the box breaks. The marbles are stored on the bottom of the board in a compartment, so they have to be pulled out before opening the board. The door for that compartment latches very firmly and was a bit hard to open. I put the marbles in a zipper storage bag after game play for easier access.Gameplay was poorly explained

I had a game by the same "Crossfire" name back in the mid 90's (red and black colors if I recall) so when I saw this come up I was very excited to be able to have my children play. Assembly took under 1 minute. This version is noticeably smaller than the one I played back in the day. Especially much narrower. This one also contains far fewer balls (bullets) as it only has 18 which lasts for a few seconds before needing to reload (9 shots each player).Aside from those major differences, gameplay is more or less the same as it was in the 90's version. We played on the floor on carpet and that was easier than playing on a table, since the balls didn’t roll away.
