Amazing sound from 4 inch speakers, and yes you can power this from the back, see picture. Not only does it come with the power adapter brick but also comes with a wire that you can power it from the back... however you will need to get a "2.5mm female Barrel Plug Connector to Bare Wire" cable. This will allow you to use the included power brick with the also included rear power wire. I definitely recommend, I was using a 2.1 PC speaker setup in the bathroom and this noticeably sounds better (clearer and more bass) and louder.

Wow. I'm somewhat of an audio geek having built audio systems for all my vehicles in the past. These are impressive for the price. 6.5" speakers aren't going to carry much low end so don't expect them to thump like there's a sub. Regardless, the range is decent. They will sound like crap if you plug them in unmounted. Pull back your insulation in the attic, install the speaker, and lay the insulation bat back over the back of the speaker to help direct the sound into the room. I installed two sets in a church, but they couldn't be used at the same time. One unit interfered with the other, not by Bluetooth, but by electrical current, meaning I used 2 aux sends from a analog mixer, sent audio in two separate rooms, but when they were connected and turned on at the same time, one unit produced excessive white noise, but when they were turned on separately, they worked fine, the the Bluetooth worked perfectly on both at the same time.

I give it 3 stars on installation because if you follow the directions you'll end up doing it wrong. The instructions need a once over edit. If you have basic electrical knowledge you'll be fine.I wired the entire unit in the wall with an access panel. I ditched the 12v dc adapter because I didnt want the dirty look of a wire hanging out the front of the receiver. I installed a 12v converter in the wall and hard wired to the supplied pigtails in a j box.There is an extra 3-wire pigtail that is not addressed anywhere in the instructions. I left it out of the install and everything works great.F
