They are unscented.These bags work as well as plastic versions, not rips or tears.They stretch as well as regular kitchen garbage bags (NOT the Flexible kind), are easy to open and feel the same as regular plastic garbage bags. The weight feels the same and they are hey to hold our trash and slightly compress prior to taking to the dumpster. We have been using these for years and have never had one split. We've been using the regular Hippo Saks for several years. They're the best! We used to use the store bought bags. They break open, get holes too easily, and generally don’t hold up. I've never had any problems with Hippo Saks!

These bags work great without leaking of typical trash. No issues with ripping either. They fit our simple human trash can well (it normally takes size M bags).Only complaint is that with the handles and no drawstring you need to empty the trash on the early side to make sure you can tie it close.Overall a good, unscented plant based bag that is worth the money for the environment!
