This is the first men’s fragrance I’ve ever tried from Jean Rish. I’ve only tried their women’s fragrances, so I was curious to see what their men’s line was like. This Dark Wood Eau de Parfum comes in a 4.2 fluid ounce spray bottle and was something my husband was able to try.My husband is pretty picky when it comes to fragrances and usually sticks with well-known designer brands, so I was interested to see what he would think of this one. Surprisingly, he was really impressed with it. I have to admit, I really like it too. After all, when your husband smells good, it’s a win for you too!Dark

I wasn’t familiar with Jean Rish before trying this, and at this price I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Dark Wood turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.It starts out fairly strong and spicy, but after a little while the woody notes come through and it becomes much smoother. There’s some warmth and a slightly smoky quality to it, but I don’t find the oud overpowering. It smells masculine and quite sophisticated, particularly once it has been on for 20 or 30 minutes.I also like that it doesn’t have the harsh, obviously inexpensive smell that some fragrances in this price range can have.
