This could legit be used as a nice camera, but is inexpensive enough to go to the beach and stuff with you guys.I bought 100% on only 4 factors: Stars, cost, 1080p and 64GB mem. It also comes with an SD to USB converter stick. So, he can download pictures. I'm really impresses a LOT but how nice this thing is for what it cost. Zoom up to 8X
