Let me put it this way: I got the tool and proceeded to cut out the wood floor of a half bath in about 8 minutes. Then, I picked up my Dremel multi-tool...and threw it in the trash.Apart from how well the Makita cuts, it doesn't get hot and it doesn't make your hand vibrate for an hour after using it. There's some vibration that follows, but the difference is night and day from what I had to endure with the Dremel. And, the Makita actually cuts material other than drywall,The Makita is more expensive than some of the others, but it's worth every penny, if only for the reason that it cuts wood

Great little MFer. Acquired for one task, which it performed perfectly. Now I get to use it for the next 30 years for other stuff all at no cost. I framed in some new window openings for my stucco covered house, I worked from the inside out. Built the rough opening frames with 2 X 4s, fastened them in place behind the stucco, then used the multi-tool with diamond blades, set the blade flat on the frame and cut perfect openings in the stucco, with no chipping or tear out. Performed flawlessly. Highly recommended.

I love Makita to begin with. The tool is not heavy. I am female and have small hands. This tool is perfect for me and it does the job perfectly. I wish I bought it sooner. I also prefer corded tools for constant power and of course lighter weight and this one is exactly it.

The tool itself is great. I like the slow ramp-up feature when you turn it on. It helps you place the tool where it needs to be more easily than if it started at full torque. It has fit every tool that I've purchased thus far. It has all the power I need without having to worry about charging batteries.My only gripe is that the case is not jobsite worthy. I only had it a week or so and the hinge got destroyed. It wasn't being abused, but it is being used in the company of contractors and other tools. This is an excellent corded tool. Compared to other multi-tools I've owned (Porter-Cable and Rockwell), this one is by far the best. It is extremely low-noise and low-vibration. Power output is strong, and the soft-start electrically-controlled motor doesn't slow down when pressed hard. I avoided buying other brands that require proprietary blade designs. Who needs the aggravation? This quick-change blade clamp worked perfectly with my universal-fit blades made by different companies. This thing is bad ass. Although I wasn’t happy when I recurved it because it looked as though someone had used and returned it. Unable to return it because of an ongoing project, I decided to keep it. I love makita tools and this purchase just reinforced that. This thing cuts amazing easy. Prior to this I had a Harbor Freight tool, and while it worked just fine, the teeth to hold the blade wore out making it unusable. Not to mention my hand would go number after several minutes if vibration.Overall I’m very happy with the purchase, the saw is great and the value is on point.
