ModMic Uni 2+ Attachable 3.5mm Headset Microphone. Gaming on PC, PS5, Xbox

Picks up at almost 100% accuracy. Not perfect, but close. I use it with Dragon for work purposes. Sticky pads don't seem to be as strong as the last Antlion mic I had. Had to replace one within a week, but extras were included.UPDATE: The mic is still great. But today the fastener that fits on the mic boom itself came apart when I took it off the headset. The magnet fell out. I guess I can glue it back but that's disappointing. I bought an Antlion mic 9 years ago, which I passed on to a family member, and it has had no issues with sticky pads or connection buttons even after all this time.

honestly, incredible and very fairly price. the microphone capsule is the highest quality of their entire product line and easily competes with something like the Shure MV6 or MV7. Since it's not wireless, you're maintaining that really lovely full spectrum sound. I was shocked how high the vocal quality is, I only had to boost the gain a few db using my motherboard. Horrible build quality, sound is fine as far as I can tell. The patch you use to attach it to the headset just melts and the whole thing ends up sagging and falling off. The screw cap that holds it together screws onto two posts that don't have the integrity to hold it so the whole thing pops apart and the little cap goes flying off half the time you touch it. You'll end up having to mess with it constantly because of the crappy adhesive. Really disappointed given the reviews and how often it's recommended.

Really disappointing purchase. I find the microphone really clear and functional and the general magnet-based design easy to use and install on my headphones. The arm is bendy and let me put the mic exactly where I needed it to go.The problem is the construction of the arm is cheap and fragile. The adhesive magnet component that sticks to the headphones is fine, but the magnet clasp for the microphone arm is poorly built: the magnet on it constantly fell out and I had to put it back into place with a ballpoint pen. It's a nice mic. Attaches to headphones well and is functional. Mic quality is good. I did have to replace it after maybe 3 years. Seems like, for the price, it should not just stop working. This time I bought the extended warranty.

It being 3.5mm opens up the possibility of using it with different audio interface which is pretty much needed because my z790 strix is using Realtek ALC4080. It is stupidly bad with its low volume for mic input.Maybe I would have gotten the usb version if only i knew about ALC4080. Now I need to spend more for an audio interface.

So far, the overall audio quality is absolutely perfect for casual gaming with my friends on PC.I have a DAC/Amp from Mayflower Electronics that this works perfectly with, and I use their magnetic attachment system on my Sennheiser HD600 open back headphones. The mic does not pick up any background noise including clicking of my mouse typing on my keyboard or the audio coming out of my headphones even if it’s super loud.It is able to apply an equaliser if you are using PC to get this sounding like a professional studio grade microphone as well.
