    Necchi Heavy Duty Sewing Machine

    I have always had regular sewing machines, nothing to handle the heavy duty work. Wanting to start sewing more home decor and bags, I purchased the Necchi Q132A. For a beginner with a heavy duty machine, it was easy to learn and use right away. Great machine for the price.

    Basic mechanical, fast smooth, plenty of jams and needle changes

    Purchased as reviews were "look at all this leather just steaming through" struggled with a,few layer of cotton, changed needles a lot.. I'll keep it but it's not this beast I expected. Great all rounder but I don't see it coping with 4folded leather layers

    Good machine, a few flaws.

    Firstly, this machine sews quickly and efficiently over anything I put under it's foot. It just sailed over bulky denim seams. It doesn't vibrate like the cheapy Walmart brands do, and it's relatively quiet. I find the threading and the changing of stitches easy. It has several stitch choices and they all sewed perfectly on heavy fabric, thin fabric, and stretchy jersey with no change of needle or foot pressure. Really, no skipped stitches even on the jersey! It was not persnickety about thread...used some 1990s era Coats and Clarks just fine. It came very well packaged in a triple box system,
