I purchased this item to pair with my Neewer NW-700 Condenser Microphone. Both being Neewer products they work very well together.I purchased the NW-700 to do audio recordings on my iMac. Unfortunately, the USB did not supply enough power to the condenser microphone to use. This worked perfectly adding the needed power withou effecting the sound quality.Ease of use - 5It is really plug and play. It comes with a XLR cable which goes directly in my condenser mic. Ahh yes, the 48v phantom power that every cardoid mic needs or needed since USB mics are replacing them. I got this kit waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2014 for a music project alongside the NW-700 when Neewer was still doing audio. It lasted me from that time till recently where I switched over to a USB mic. BUT, don't let the whole USB mic good, phantom power bad scene fool you nowadays. This unit delivers amazing sound quality that it had people asking me how much my mic costed me. Purchased as a replacement phantom power supply for a nearly ten year old condenser microphone I just can't bear to part with, even after it's old power supply died. Works great, practically identical in all the ways that matter to the original piece. Very solid and gets the job done.

Its doing what it needs to do but as soon as I took it out of the box the power button popped off and now it goes back on kinda at a slant... I am a bit OCD when it comes to things like this so that bothered me. The case is super cheap and it is really lightweight. That can be a plus or a minus depending on who you are asking.... So far it is doing it's job and I suppose that since it really just sits to the side mostly ignored it SHOULD hold up for long-time use. That I know of no heating issues or anything. Time will tell. Will update if it becomes necessary... I do not know if $18-20 bucks

I bought this to pair it with my Rode NT1 and it works flawlessly. The sound is perfect and there is no buzzing or harsh noises when I talk into my microphone. It also includes an XLR which is helpful but you will need to purchase a separate XLR to USB if your plugging into a computer or if your plugging it in to a audio interface then you would need another XLR cable. Overall great product and cheap 100% recommend this product.
