I was given an oscillating tool by the family of a friend who just happened to be my neighbor. I got a charger for it immediately thereafter and it has sit unused since that time. We are in the process of removing the cheap carpet that the builder used. We have done the first floor and am now at the stairs. We decided to use the wood that is already there as it will be covered by carpet pads. The issue is the paint that was used for the stairs. I am avoiding using industrial chemicals to remove it. The safe paint remover did an okay job, but there is a thin layer that is resistant. I remembere

The hook and look backing could be a little better. That's why I took away 1 star. Other than that, great value for the price.

They somewhat did a job, but the hook & loop didn't adhere for long. Dust caused it to lose adhesion, and the backing started wearing out almost immediately.

Look, it's cheap so I wasn't expecting much. I was expecting it to last longer than 5 minutes, though. I was using the smaller tool to sand some crevices on a project made out of red oak. Very rapidly, the sand paper started falling off and then the velcro pad that the sand paper sticks to fell off the metal. I super-glue'd it back on and now the sand paper no longer sticks to the pad.

Don't waste your money. When you attach and lock down sanding head attachments, it isn't secure. As soon as you turn on your tool the attachment flies off from the vibrations. Even at the lowest speed it would come off. The quickfit area is much larger than dremel's own. There is no way to use this unless you use them as MANUAL sanding pads.
