Over all a good machine. I had a full size Singer that was heavy & combersome to use. This is light wieght, quieter than the Singer, and does a good job on hemming, making repairs to jeans, and I even made a cover for it using tea towels. The only detractors is threading the needle, the threader provided does not work well and broke very easily, and the other detractor is the foot pedal doen't raise that high making working with thick fabric difficult.
I bought this Kids Sewing Machine for my child because they love DIY crafting, and it has been a really good introduction to sewing. It’s designed for beginners, and that shows in how easy it is to use. My child was able to start simple projects without feeling overwhelmed, which is exactly what I wanted.The 12 built-in stitches are a nice feature. They provide enough variety for basic projects like small crafts, simple repairs, and creative designs. It doesn’t feel overly complicated, but it still allows room for learning and experimentation. That balance is great for kids who want to explore
