First, a word of caution: Do *NOT* use this with the standard mouse feet/skids that pretty much any mouse comes with.The typical plastic or teflon (PFTE) used for these feet will quickly wear off and into the microbead surface of this pad and effectively destroy it. I don't think there is any way to get the mouse foot material off without also destroying the oleophobic surface coating of the pad or otherwise voiding the manufacturers 1-year replacement warranty. Been playing cyberpunk for almost a month and other fps before that, still haven't notice any wear. I have always preferred hard pads but I hated the fact that they wear down, so I switched to clothes pads. After razer announced this product I was skeptical, because there are a lot mixed reviews. Alternative products include the glorious gaming ice mat or the artisan shidenkai, but even those pad have mix reviews of their own. Went with razer because it's the only thing that is in stock. I bought this to go along with my new Razer Basilisk V3 Pro gaming mouse. It is amazing how the mouse just seems to glide effortlessly across the mat. I can actually push the mouse and it will slide across with me touching it. Almost like it is skating on ice. It has a good size surface area and is of thick material and I would "think" that it will last a while. This is my first one, so I don't know what its longevity is. We'll see.

It's...a surface. Does a mouse work on it? Sure. Is it super slick, as advertised? Yes...for a little while. Whatever coating they put on it to make it so slick wears off quickly. Was skeptical of this pad from reading forum posts and reviews. Everyone claimed that the glide wore out within months, destroying their PTFE mouse feet in the process.I wouldn't know anything about that, as I have always used glass feet or dots on it, and it works as well as it did the day I bought it. I had one of these for over 10 years. Loved it, but it was too small for my photo editing work, so I bought this new one. Love it. Only have to clean oils that collect from the skin, making the drag uneven. Easily done. but, I use a two finger glove to keep my hand off the mat.
