That is actually 4.5, not 4 stars.I own quite a few name brand multi tools, I'm a Mechanic, I trained as a gunsmith and machinist, I target shoot and otherwise spend a lot of time in the woods so I wanted a Leatherman Signal, but it does happen that occasionally you lose a tool and I didn't want to lose the 135 bucks for the Signal, so I decided to give this a try because it had gotten such glowing reviews.I have an old top of the line SOG Powerlock manufactured when they were excellent and used good steel. I've had it for over 20 years and I compare all others to this tool.The Rocktol Signal

Haven't used much yet, but in playing around, the tolerances aren't as perfect as gerber and leatherman, but imo they aren't bad either, especially for the money. pliers ok, with the tip angled slightly towards putting full closed pressure precisely at the tip, and not sure if the joint it rotates on will be perfect over time, but initially there's not any bad play that I notice. the pliers replaceable cutting pieces catch on one another a bit as they engage, but this isn't a big problem for me that I'm aware of. Saw is not uniformly pristine in finishing, but it is up to par in initial sharpn

Took a chance on this tool for work since I cant carry my multi tools on a plane when I have to travel to the office.I didn't want to spend a lot on on a multi tool just to leave it at work.I have to say I was surprised by the quality of this tool and compared to my Leatherman signal this holds up quite well. It is slightly heavier than the signal but it also has two more outside tools (scissors and file) than the signal.The hammer is wider than the signals which I like because it leaves less of a chance of missing what I'm striking. Super great multitool. very happy w it. I gave it to my son for a Christmas gift. Gave it to him very young so hope he'll need it more when he;s older. He's used it a few times and has definitely came in handy. We took it to the lake and i taught him how to use the fire starter and he got into it and tried and tried until he got it! I was so proud of him he started his first fire . And it was with this multitool. Thank for a great memory and more to come ! I;d give this more than 5 starts if i could.

Pretty much every thing you commonly need for daily life hiccups. pliers are excellent.Considering that ALL MULTI TOOLS ARE MADE OF CHEAP LOW CARBON STAINLESS STEEL , have cast steel pliers and blades that are made of a steel you'd be embarrassed to admit having a pocket knife made of.This is as well or better made than any of the dozen leathermman gerber models I own. So far, so good. My good multitool (a gift from my dad) broke recently and I can't be without one. I looked and looked and researched a lot. I couldn't swing another Leatherman so opted for this. It is suiting its purpose so far and seems good quality.

Solid, very sharp knife , good steel ,tight pliers, sharp saw, good abrasive file, flint works well. The only thing I didn't like is the 90 degree position for the screw driver tips and the fact that the knife has no built in holder clip for the tips . May work in some scenarios but not very practical for most uses. No it's not a Leatherman but those are over priced in comparison. I own both, and I did break my Leatherman pliers once also. This is truely an example of You get what you pay for.This is not a bad product by any means especially for the price. I’d say the build quality is as high or higher than a gerber but much less than a leatherman.There are some things that leave a lot to be desired - scissors are long but not functional. The steel is soft. The small screw for glasses is a nice touch but definitely will not work for more pairs of glasses. The knife dulls quickly, and most of the tools on the side of the hammer will open fully but you cannot close the two handles because of the hammer. Also the hex screw bits are
