RYOBI RMT18-0 18V ONE+ Cordless Multi-Tool (Bare Tool), Hyper Green

If you are going to put in a bathroom this thing is worth ever penny and more. Cutting to go around door jams or around toilets, and cutting to go under molding fir flooring. Also used it when cutting out the floor we needed to replace. Help me even out lines so boards fit flush.Happy I bought it. If doing another job like this and my multi-cutter dies. I'll go buy another one. Best 100 or so I spent on this job. Kept my nephew engaged in putting in the floors. He had fun using it, and best of all it worked.

This brand of products is great. Easy to use. Lightweight. Easy to put battery pack on and off. We have been switching out our old school plug in electric or gas powered tools and gadgets with this brand and they have lasted for years and makes the small tasks seem easier and quicker to do. Would recommend this brand. It’s worth the price. Cordless, not loud at all.

A must have for all DIY projects, it works well for installing trim and making cuts in areas other tools cannot. It can also be used as a sander for small hard to reach areas. It is multiple tools in one. The six level speed control is nice for controlling cuts and has tons of power when dialed up.

Seems great so far. Only four out of five stars because it doesn't have quick release to change blades. 4.5 stars actually because it works great!

Added this "funny saw" tool to my Ryobi collection over a year ago and it quickly became indispensable for a multitude of tasks. Until one day, all of a sudden, it stopped! Had to dig in my tool box for half a dozen other tools to continue the job. I replaced it right away. When the new one came in, I took the broken one apart, as any good engineer would do. I was impressed when I first used it. It was comparable to the Milwaukee DeWalt that my neighbor has. And I’ve used. Got for a great price compared to the others. but quit working on me cutting some drywall today and it’s only the 4th time I’ve used. Would have been 5 stars other wise.Updated review:I’m kind of handy so I took the unit apart myself, found one of the rubber isolators had came out of place and got sucked into the motor stalling the motor. I was able to pull the rubber isolator out of the motor and put it all back together. Unit now works as designed just like the day. I took it

I was very disappointed with this tool. The blade retention mechanism failed after only one month of normal use. The part that holds and secures the blade appears to be made from a very soft metal alloy rather than hardened steel. The retaining pieces wore down quickly, deformed, and eventually failed, making the tool unusable.A component that experiences constant vibration and stress should be manufactured from a much stronger material.
