I used two to make straight through cut (a square hole) in an oak frame about an inch and half thick. The first one hit a nail and actually cut it but that's the last thing it ever cut. They get the job done. Decent price. Just stay away from nails.
The blades fit my craftsman tool perfectly and worked well on 1 inch knotty pine boards.

These things just EAT through whatever they're arrayed against, but it could splinter the work a bit if you go too fast. Just let the teeth do their thing and you'll be done in no time.If there is any downside it's that they're a bit on the short side, but that just makes them sturdy

Bought these to cut through old treated wood on a deck that I need to replace. Halfway through the 1st board the saw was dull. I went through 3 blades for 2 boards. Great for cutting butter!
