    Works great on our Samsung TVs!

    These KUNCAN TV Power Splitter Cable IEC C8 to C7 and NEMA 1-15R did exactly what I needed -- We install network receiver boxes on the back of Samsung TVs at our trivia locations, and finding power is always an issue (especially with existing installs). This Y-Splitter cable fits perfectly with the majority of the Samsung TVs that we deal with, allowing us to send power to the TV and our receiver box at the same time. Even better, it functions better than a USB 5V power, because sometimes those require the TV to be turned on or we've found TVs lose their strength from the USB source over time

    Neat idea, but with one notable issue

    The NEMA 1-15R (standard US receptacle) on this splitter is a polarized receptacle. That's a problem, because the input power connector to the splitter is not polarized, which means there's a 50/50 chance that your polarized receptacle will have the wrong polarity when you plug this in. As long as whatever you're plugging into it doesn't actually have a polarized plug – as many USB power supplies, for example, don't have – then you're still good... but if you plug something polarized into this splitter, you introduce a potential safety hazard, because this adapter defeats the expectaion of cor
