WOLFBOX G840S 12" 4K Mirror Dash Cam Backup Camera with 32GB Card and GPS

This is the best dash cams I've owned the quality of the video and ease of use is pretty darn good. ease of installation is really dependent on the type of vehicle you own and the type of installation you want to do. Do you want all the wires neatly tucked away and hidden or do you want to use the sticky cable retention pieces that are in the box and make it easier. And obviously you can always pay a professional to install. I have three things that I would like to see improved on newer models / 2.01. The power button needs to have some kind of isolating rubber around it or be fixed in place.

First of all, this product is and does exactly what they claim it does. The 12" view display is VERY sharp and clear (with a couple of reservations I will address later), the wide angle lenses show everything and more, the GPS is accurate, and the rear-facing camera works very well, especially if you hook up the wire to the backup light so the unit displays the (adjustable) backup lines. Amara quality is great. Installation took a little longer than I thought but was not because of the device. Instructions pretty straight forward.I wish it was an option to only use the front or the back camera. For my install, the Wolfbox was just a littlearger than the factory installed mirror of the Buick I put it in. Means the front camera cannot be used. I also wish I could turn off recording. It constantly records.

I couldn't be happier with this dash cam and rearview mirror system. I installed it on my 2024 Prius XLE, and it has made a huge difference in my daily driving. Updating this review. We hadn’t driven at night but recently drove and the camera is great at night. I attached a picture but the video wouldn’t upload. The mirror provides a nice wide angle view and is better than an actual mirror. I had a couple issues the wire that is provided with the kit was too short. I read that Wolfbox works with you and may provide the correct cable for free. They didn’t give me one but I purchased one on Amazon. The other issue I had was after the second trip the mirror went black. It wound up being the power wire with the fuse that came in the kit was faulty. I used

I've had several different types of dash cams going for about 10 years now. The reasons I upgraded from my last camera are as follows: the sticky mount on the windshield would frequently fall off, I had to remove the camera to put the sunshade, and I wanted something out of the way and less obvious of having a dash cam.Now, I've been using this camera for about 2 months and can give an honest review. The size and clarity are good. I would probably buy the 10” instead of 12” next time. It does what I need which is help me see behind me in my truck when the bed is full. The auto start works most of the time but not all. The SD card has been odd. It has me format repeatedly even after only a 10 minute drive and after 30 or so days of use the mirror said insert SD card even though I never took it out.
