    Item perfect, other expenses not so much..

    Item was a birthday gift & it was everything it was supposed to be.. Perfect.. Just handling & shipping + presumed import costs are almost 4x the cost of the item so total cost is significant.

    Nice if you’re handy with tools

    Nice book holder but the hinge screw holes were stripped out when it arrived. Fortunately, my husband is a handy guy who had better screws and drilled a new pilot holes.

    A reader's friend with a place for book + accessories

    I like to read actual, paper books. I also have cats.The cats feel that is their job in life to relocate my books, chew up bookmarks, and generally make my reading less enjoyable.I never knew that a "book holder" was an option. This book valet is made of heavy, solid wood which can stand up to even the heaviest books. The two pieces are joined by a solid hinge, making it ease to adjust the angle of the two sides to your preference. It folds up easily for when you want to move to another area and has a rustic look that will compliment most decor. Three recessed areas easily hold reading glasses

    Very nice book holder

    This little book holder is quite versatile! I believe it’s made of basswood, so it’s not super heavy but it doesn’t feel cheap or lightweight either. It’s kind of a nice medium weight. I like the engraving on the back, as well as the spots for a coffee cup and phone.It really does help you safe space on your desk. And it holds my Kindle Scribe and my tablet without an issue, which is nice for when I’m doing research and need to make handwritten notes.

    Not great

    Item was not well packed, and the book holder arrived with broken hinges. Also the wood had an odd smell and an oily film that was unpleasant to touch and would probably leave traces on any book.
