This 'TV xStream USB Ethernet Adapter' is one of the few ethernet adapters said to be compatible with the Amazon 'Fire TV Stick HD'. It works great and has a few features not found on Amazon's std. ethernet adapter:: has a nice long cable connecting it to the Firestick HD and also has an ethernet activity LED lamp, both of which are absent on Amazon's adapter.

Unlike the other two I tried, this does provide power to the Firestick, and the ethernet connection worked.However . . . it turns out there's little point, because using a browser on Firestick, the only reason to use the darn thing, is hopelessly awkward. So I tossed the Firestick. Oh well, can't blame that on this device, can you?

Works great with my Fire Stick, it is running a wired Ethernet speed of 380 Mbps, Great!!!

If your on a Wifi and find to much buffering with your firestick.. you may want to look into this. I got one.. and then ordered 2 more for friends tv/s that had buffering issues.. we ran cat 5 cable to where the tv's are.. so far the buffering has stopped or it is very rare.. I would recommend this for anyone having Wifi buffering issues and can run a cat 5 cable to where they need it

Unlike my previous similar purchases, this one seems to work with Amazon FireTV pendants, Amazon Fire Stick 2nd gen, and all of my Chromecast devices. It is now stationed on the Chromecast devices after testing without any current issues.Just unplug the USB cable from the power plug and device then reconnect with this item instead.... when you plug an ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the replacement cable and plug the other end into your switch/router/access point/ extender/media bridge, you can ignore the WiFi settings on the device and you will have an internet connection to your dev

I had an update to my google chrome cast that made it unable to connect to wifi. They put a fix for this in the next update but being unable to use wifi I could not get the update to fix the problem. So I used this device to connect an ethernet cable to my chrome cast and the first thing it did was update and fix the problem. Now it works with wifi again. much cheaper than a new chrome cast. And I am sure it will be good for other things as well. thanks guys.
