So i felt the need to write up this detailed review because I noticed the Apevia power supplies have been getting some hate from people who havent actually ever had one or are just PC elitest. You know the type they believe something like it must meet the following 2 requirements or its garbage. #1 be made by one of the top 5 brands and #2 say 80 Plus Silver or better. Fantastic budget build entry level power supply that has plenty of wattage for budget builds and runs quite and cool. The ease of installation is very simple with all wiring neatly done and ready to hookup with little effort. The noise level of the psu is very low and is not of any worry. It will handle a build like a ryzen 5600 and a 1660 super GPU and a 120 or 240 AIO, 4 fans and LEDscwithout any issue what so ever even when over clocking the processor and GPU. It's a reliable psu that won't burn up on you or fry your system like some of the cheap PSUs can do, I have these in 6 budget builds

1sttime buying something DOA.Also doesn't have gpu 8 pin plug.Also uses the cheapest wires.Those wires have NO protection from the case.Lighter than any other PSU I have owned.

I got this power supply to replace the one in my Optiplex 7010 desktop system. It's more powerful than the original which is good, but as the system has an optical drive, there is no wiring provided for it. My desktop has an SSD and two internal hard disks, so every output is used, and no provision for the optical CD drive. I realize this is an old system and the newer ones omit the optical drive, but it was a disappointment, thus the one star deduction. Fortunately I have an external USB powered drive I can use on the rare occasion I need it.

It was a little alarming that this PS is so much lighter than the original but that didn't stop me. It is a little quieter than the original. I am glad I read the instructions about the cable ends being tweakable because I did have to separate one so it would work on my old HP Motherboard. Once separated I nearly needed a magnifying glass to determine which of the two (4 pin) connectors would attach properly. The other unneeded 4 pin connector has no chance of shorting against anything so I did nothing special and let it find its own resting spot nearby. For people that go overboard on disconn
