Wanted to upgrade my Nvidia graphics card and I needed a new power supply with enough power to run it and also have the 12 pin connector so my card connects right. I have used Thermaltake PSUs before so I knew this would be exactly what I needed. Great brand at a great price! Just remember, if you are changing your PSU you need to use the cables that came with it. Don't use what you had because not all cables are wired the same.

I got this and had problems with it whining and my computer would crash a lot. I ended up having it RMA'd and Thermaltake sent me a higher wattage one for free. That one works great but I was going crazy thinking I built the computer incorrectly. It comes with a ton of modular cables, bags of them and the new one runs very quiet. The fan stays off the majority of the time.

Unfortunately, I don't have anything good to say about this power supply. Worked fine for about 3 weeks and then suddenly up and died in the middle of a gaming session. No warning, no loose cables/connections, and no possible way that I was hitting the 850 watt power limit. Unit simply turned off, shut off my PC uncommanded, and refused to power back up. At first I was sure something had malfunctioned with my motherboard, but nope; hooked up my old 800 watt Cooler Master PSU that this unit was supposed to replace, and the whole system booted up fine (thank god that was the first thing I tried
