Go this about three days ago. Can’t afford a $4,000 machine and saw some online videos of this one, so I knew what to expect.I am a leather worker of 30+ years and have always hand sewn my work. As I get older, it is getting harder for me to hand stitch, so I thought it was about time to get a machine. After looking for a while at leather stores, online and other places I realized that most machines were out of my budget and I couldn’t justify the cost as I am not doing my leather for large scale productions. It was an interesting week. The cobbler sewing machine had a small piece of leather with stitches in it. I assumed this was proof of it working. All I could get was broken thread. Main problem was shuttle was in 9 o'clock position rather than 3 o'clock. Needle shaft needed lowered so upper thread could catch bobbin thread. With everything oiled and smoothed, it still broke top thread. Finally noticed thread was cutting in the needle eye. Changed needles and used bonded #93 polyester thread. With all these combinations, I now have a fairly good idea how this thing ticks and just sewed two bobbi

Came in full of rust and unfinished metal , very low overall level of finish which for the price is reasonable i believe.after a few days i managed to get it working so i guess thats already value for money right there.if you dont bother spending time on sanding the machine cleaning it up and fixing its timing , its a decent purchase.If u dont see yourself sanding metal and reassembling different parts of the machine dont bother buying one .

Needs a little better packaging. Screwdriver handle was crushed in shipping. Instruction sheet has holes punched in it from shipping. Overall seems to be a sturdy machine worth the money. Arrived 4 days ahead of scheduled date.

Purchased a Chinese sewing machine and was aware of all the warnings about a cheap sewing machineAnd I will agree it was cheap. Piece of JUNK. I would get it working and the next day it would beSomething else wrong with it. I could of brought me a real nice machiine if I accounted for the hoursSpent trying to get this one working. All I can say is you get what you pay for JUNK is JUNK.

Well i bought this because it was cheap and compared to 2000 it is. But it worked for about two days and now I can't get the thing to sew right anymore.

The machine sews good right out of the box after I gave it a quick cleanup , the only complaint I have is when you order a certain item based on description which states it's made of metal and I got one made of aluminum it's disappointing, I put magnets on it and they won't stick to it,so i didn't get what I actually ordered,I don't like buying one thing and getting another.

This would have gotten a higher rating, but it required a LOT of TLC to get it usable. Got this for the hubby for Christmas, he had to take it apart, sand areas that were rusted, build a stable stand for it, adjust things, etc. Videos on YouTube and suggestions from others helped out tremendously!!!
