Breville BGR820XL Smart Grill, Brushed Stainless Steel

I bought this thinking that I was going to get both plates which everyone been recommending to get. For me, I can't afford at this point and time but, did have enough to purchase the SG. I love the chrome look as it goes with my portable oster oven (sorry, no Breville smart oven yet) and I'm not here to talk about that.I'm impressed of how quick it warms up to the desired temperature, of course, 400-450 warm is a little longer but, not painfully long. Very nice grill ! The Breville Works perfectly on heat disribution avross the entire heating element when measuring an IR gun. Element temp is also very close th actual digital read out. Eg when set to 350 deg the temp ranged from 340-360F. Not bad at all. This is not a toy. It is very heavy duty, and heavy in size. It feels very durable. Because the heating elements are in the plates them selves, if I have to replace them it will not be so bad. However, I do not see that happening for a long while. It sears the meat very nicely. When cooking a steak I keep it on sear. Yes it is price of an outdoor grill, but I do not grill outside.
