My v1.1.4 board decided to melt back into a rock formation so I picked up this MOBO for my Ender 3 pro.Swapping over to this 4.2.7 silent board was a simple install. most every port was labeled and easy to plug and play.No case compatibility issues, motors are 100% silent and my hotend thermal runaway issue disappeared.Only con was finding the correct firmware.It was a beast getting the proper firmware from Creality. This mainboard replaced a failed mainboard in my Crealty CR-10 v3 3d printer. It wasn't a drop-in replacement as i had to make sure that it was electrically hooked up correctly (had to rewire a plug and combine the two z motor plugs to one - the z ends up getting flipped up / down). Then for the software side, I put Marlin on it which requires configuring all the settings and then compiling (not too difficult following the directions on website) so the Marlin firmware knows my machines capacity and to use this mainboard's pins. Man, this motherboard silence is your machine. It was easy even for a six-year-old man to install. Plus it has those extra plugs on it you know so you can actually plug in lights and stuff and upgraded screen or whatever you want so yeah I like it. It was pretty easy works great. Easy to flash.

Works and got my printer back up and running after the 4.2 2 board shorted. One thing to note is don't expect the preloaded firmware to actually work. For my ender 3 max there was not a firmware offered by creality that was a drop in and go. I either had to upgrade to auto leveling as well or write my own firmware. Found one that worked but missing a few functions. Will have to write them in at a later date as I learn how.

what they don't tell you is that the motherboard has no firmware installed (it will just run away if you turn it on) its easy to install one file from the website marlin.crc.id.au put it on the sd card and turn it on (remove the file when done) it works great after that and you will have to create a account.

I will only give 4 stars due to the installation links being gone. If your considering a "new" silent mainboard once you have the correct creality .bin firmware chosen and simply copied to an sd card insert and power up display loaded for me quickly. Use your search bar to search creality (your printer model) firmware then download and browse through the folders for an applicable .bin file. Worked for me. Good firmware for beginners

Drop in replacement for the Creality Ender 3 Pro; makes the whole thing quiet and faster. Needed to update the firmware for it to work;Took photos and moved the wires 1 by 1 over to the new MB, flashed it and it worked. The noise was so much better for the stepper motors.
