I never write reviews but decided to write one since this is a great product and people are not understanding its use caseMy use case:I currently have HomePods and HomePod Mini's across my house. I disabled the networking on them via my router since I didn't want something with a mic in a private space freely accessing the internet. This worked at first but the reliability degraded quite fast. I assume its due to missing updates since they can't connect to the web. Funnily enough, you aren't going to find a speaker in a small form like this or a homepod that has both Airplay 2 and no microphon

Constant connectivity and updating issues. Sound will be playing on all 3 and randomly cut out or I will be connected to all 3 and only one will play sound. Not compatible with phones other than iPhone. Sound quality is OK but more akin to a 20 dollar Bluetooth speaker. Wish I could return but waited to long/gave too many chances.

I had these connected upstairs and down in our two story home. The problem is sometimes they work better than other times, cutting on and off too much. When they are on, they sound great so I am not returning them. It's a little annoying when they refuse to stay on, but that is not too frequent. For the lower price than others and fair sound quality, I give them 3 stars. Note: My connection problem may be due to internet connection issues, but other devices are working fine.

The Dio Node is good for what it is. It's important to understand just what it is, and not expect it to be what it is not.First of all, it is an Airplay 2 speaker, a small one. You might think that implies some other features, such as Bluetooth, an auxiliary line input, and/or battery operation. These are commonplace features on some Airplay speakers, but not this one. If it's not connected to Airplay, it's not connected. And it must be plugged into AC power. Also, the small size means it is not going to produce deep bass, but the sound quality is quite good FOR ITS SIZE.What it does offer is

I’ve been using these for a few months now and they have exceeded my expectations.What sold me was how easy they were to set up. I opened the box, connected them to wifi through my iPhone and had everything running in just a few minutes. One thing I really appreciated was that I didn’t have to download another app or create yet another account. My iPhone detected the speakers automatically and setup only took a few minutes.I put one speaker in the living room, one in the bedroom, and one in the bathroom. loved these I thought from the beginning constantly losing signal when one goes out it doesn't reconnect on its own. You have to start all over again and very little customer support took two weeks just to get an answer when we went online to ask.

After my last purchase, I now own six of these amazing speakers. The sound quality is fantastic. Dio’s after sales support is excellent. My router was causing some AirPlay issues and they helped me resolve it so the speakers work perfectly in my house. I especially like that you don’t have to deal with a battery and how easy it is to broadcast to all six speakers at once. They are a wonderful value for the price.

Easy to set up however, no matter what room I’m in, there is a connection issue. And it’s only when I’m in the room with a speaker does it start to cut out or just stop entirely. It’s very annoying and time consuming having to restart or reconnect the speaker every 15 minutes. Not worth it for the price.
