I was skeptical if the Era 300 would truly feel like a "generational leap," but after a month of testing, I’m sold. Sound was great. Loved the simple set up and sound quality. Wifi and blue tooth settings are not as rich and intuitive. The Sonos App is quite bad frankly, with skeleton features and error prone.

I upgraded our Sonos Arc system, (which had consisted of Arc, Sub, and a pair of Sonos Ones), to Arc, Sub and a pair of Era 300s. Once I got everything set up perfectly the sound is nothing short of otherworldly! Even on a low volume setting the sound just seems to come out of the atmosphere.That said, the set up was not as straightforward as one might expect. The directions are not easy to find for every situation. First you need to decide whether you want to set it up ultimately as a surround system, or put the emphasis on stereo music.
