Dremel MM479 Universal Quick Fit Oscillating Wood Fine Cut Blade Kit (3-Piece)

I purchased this to use with my Makita oscillating tool for a home flooring project. I needed to cut under door jambs to install the new flooring and this blade cut cleanly and precisely to help make the flooring project go smoothly.

I had doubts that fine cut blades for an oscillating saw would still result in some rough cuts. All the other blades I have create a bit of tear out that requires some sanding to clean up. This includes 3/4 plywood and 3/4 solid wood flooring.These blades are a game changer. The tear out is significantly lessened with these blades. The blades cut in a single direction which helps with control during the cut. I believe this is what keeps the tear out to a minimum too. These do remind me of the manual Japanese saws that I have. If you need to cut trim, baseboards, or other pieces of wood where precision is critical, these blades are ideal for this purpose. They will work with most oscillating tools that are being sold today. I have a Dremel and these fit mine perfectly. The blades are sharp, so make sure to wear gloves when cutting wood with them. I have done a few test cuts and I can verify that these are quality blades. They are a nice addition to my toolkit and a good deal at the current price.

I purchased a Dremel MM50 tool earlier this year. It's my first oscillating tool and buying blades is a new experience. I originally purchased a set of off-brand 'compatible' blades, but found them a hassle because they require an adapter (the Dremel chuck has a smaller diameter than other tools).These fit my Dremel perfectly; however, they are packaged with a gooey adhesive which I refer to as gorilla snot. As others have noted, you should review the specifics of the blades before purchasing because some tools do require an adapter for use. I believe that there are two different kinds of connectors out there, and some quick research should tell you whether these will fit your tool natively or need an adapter.The blades themselves are high quality metal, which you can tell because unlike some cheap blades I've used in the past these don't bend and get all wonky as soon as they encounter wood or other hard materials. I like this set because it includes a number of different widths based on your particular needs. I used it to notch out some boards I was using to flash out the door to a chicken coop. The blades cut through my cedar very quickly and with no splintering. I then used the narrow blade to mortise out channels for the hinges.Quick change mounting means you don't have to fully unscrew the bolt ont he tool head and sharp blades allow precise cutting.I highly recommend it!

Dremel makes good blades and these are no exception. The three sizes each have their application and I gave all three of them a try. They fit my Makita oscillating tool perfectly and sliced through my pine baseboard like a hot knife through butter. I also used the smallest blade to cut some notches in an oak cabinet to run some new wiring, and it worked great.The quality is apparent in these blades, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to make some nice tight cuts.

As a handyman, I use my oscillating multi-tool often and I've tried many different brands and types of blades. In my opinion, Dremel hands down makes the best ones, followed by Milwaukee. Is this kit expensive for 3 blades? Yes. Will you be disappointed in the money you spent? No. The fine teeth insure your cuts will be smooth and they stay sharp through a myriad of jobs. They also won't smoke up on you after a few uses like the off-brand blades. Fit great on my Ryobi. I highly recommend them!
