GE WR55X36435 Refrigerator Inverter Board

This item is an embraco-branded replacement for some GE refrigerators. Embraco is or was a supplier to GE. This itemt is presumably less expensive than GE-supplied parts as it doesn't pass through GE on its way to the consumer.It fit perfectly on the compressor where the old inverter sat, and came with a control cable adapter that plugged into the refrigerator wiring. So installation was straight forward, although there was a surge protector that I temporarily removed to improve access.Whether it is genuine embraco or counterfeit I cannot tell. This was the fix for my GE Profile model PFCS1NFCASS counter-depth refrigerator! It was about 7 years old and had never been moved from the wall since installation. I want to contribute another review that states that this is simply an improved version of the old part, so don't be dismayed that it looks different. It's the same manufacturer, same plastic housing as the previous version (though now it's black), with a bigger, external metal heat sink/grounding plate. This part resolved the issue with my GE fridge. Quality part at a very fair price. Make sure you do all the proper troubleshooting to ensure this is the component you need. If the inverter board is your issue, this will get you back up and running. Watching some youtube videos, troubleshooting (a multimeter is your friend), and swapping out the inverter board saved me a bunch vs buying a new fridge.
