An affordable servo that works great
Ive installed 3 of these units with zero issues. This servo is a huge upgrade over a clutch motor on every level. They have a nice low speed and plenty of control. Installion of these is extremely easy and requires the least assembly Ive experienced compared to other servo motors. At the $60-75 price point they are an absolute bargain. As long as they stay in this range I will choose these especially on machines I plan to sell in the near future. If the price were to go back towards the $100+ range I would lean towards the Consew CSM1000 or 3000 as I have a few of those running with no issues,

Worked great
Wonderful. Bought a 2491 singer brand new at a sale for a great deal. Clutch motor went from zero to 12,000 to fast for us so installed this servo motor without issue. Also installed the needle position device, no drama it all plugged in and works great. I did not even read directions. Only issue is the mounting slots on bottom could have been a bit longer and I had to reuse the original mount isolators to get it to align properly. Very happy with this new machine and motor.

Just doesn’t work
Well pretty much a piece of junk. The needle position sensor and the cable receptacle for the sensor are both female so you can plug in the sensor. The servo motor does not run at all, not sure if it’s becuase the position sensor can’t be plugged in. No instructions and no tech customer support response. Steer clear of this one.

POORLY written, incomplete and missing instructions.
The Servo Motor itself is fine, but the instructions are worthless. Mounting the motor just takes some basic mechanical skills so working around the complete lack of instructions was simple. The difficult problems are the instructions for the controller and the needle positioner. There are zero instructions for the needle positioner and a single half sheet of instructions telling you how to set the control box, and those were missing almost all of what I needed to know. If it wasn't for Youtube videos on how to do it, I would have sent this thing back. The other issue is the control box NOT be

Working well to power a small metal lathe
First of all I did not purchase this servo motor for a sewing machine, so judge my review accordingly. I purchased this motor for a replacement for a small metal lathe. The motor attached to the lathe with little alteration. It powers the lathe reasonably well. When the motor starts there is a slight delay before it engages. The motor has a reverse that is controlled electronically in the digital display by selecting the motor direction of rotation. This speed control of this motor is a mechanical spring loaded lever. Taking my own measurements with a laser tachometer the RPM's rated for this
