    Well made, but in no way is 400W

    Well made power supply, but very much not 400W. The output wires are 1.5mm^2. It can barely even run 100W before triggering overcurrent protection.

    Solid, sturdy and reliable

    This is a really good transformer. When I saw the website pics, I did not think it might have been up to the task. But, happily, I was wrong. This transformer is solid, heavy duty and can handle the load.Very easy to install, they provide openings in the casing so that the transformer can easily be screwed in for a permanent installation. It's IP67 waterproof, and all you need do is plug it in, and attach the output wires to your outdoor lighting wire(s). Could not be easier, and this can handle all of my outdoor lighting. Most of my lighting runs between 3W and 6W for each fixture, and this d

    Does not deliver advertised power

    This power supply is being used for addressable RGB strips (WS2815). Here are some pros and cons:Pros: Power supply is well constructed, suitable for an outdoor covered environment where the possibility of moisture exists, but no direct water contact. Form factor is compact and would fit well in a small space, allowing adequate room for convective cooling. Voltage control is good - no load voltage is 12.01v, at 5a load the voltage was 11.8v.Con: Only one, but its a big enough problem for me to knock off three stars. This power supply will not deliver its rated power. Any draw over 10 amps will

    Big Power, Small Package

    Technology keeps on improving and this product is a good example of that. This thing is only 6.5" x 2" x 0.75" inches but puts out a good steady 400W at 12vdc. Plus it comes pre-corded with standard NEMA 5-15P plug. The only thing you have to connect is the 12vdc outlet wires which are color coded for you with red / positive, black / negative. It doesn't get any easier than that. With this thing being so small you will have no problem finding just the right place to mount it out of sight. And to help you mount it, the all metal case back plate has pre-slotted cutouts for your screws or bolts t

    Not a single issue while being outside in rainy Seattle

    I have installed and RGB system on my porch and this is definitely getting hit by moisture, yet not a single issue.This is a high quality power supply that can withstand outdoor elements while maintaining a mild heat level.This is a great product, I will be looking into their other products

    I suppose it works OK, just not what I needed it for

    It did not meet my expectation, it ran out of power for what I was using it for and would intermittently shut down to repower itself. Maybe I over-estimated it's capabilities. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it just didn't work for what I needed it for
