Swapped the noisy stock power supply on my 3D printer for this and the difference is night and day. The fan is thermally controlled so it barely runs at idle and the thing is nearly silent during normal operation. Mean Well has a reputation for being genuinely reliable and building things to spec rather than just slapping a sticker on something cheap. You can even verify authenticity with their QC report online which is a nice touch for peace of mind.
perfect for diy projects. have been using these for years in 3d printers and have never had one fail. Mean Well makes one of the best PSU's hands down.
Great upgrade to replace the noisy Qidi Q2 power supply.This unit has a thermally controlled fan the only turns on when it needs to. No more fan noise at idle.Mean well units are top tier, great value for a reliable PSU.
For the price below $30 it is performed very nicely. I was using for 0.1A and 4A load, ripple is considerable and reached ~1.2V which is 5% tolerance so it is good enough. Crafted simple LC filter(10uF mlcc + 4.7uH + 10uF mlcc) and all that ripple gone below 0.3V.Consider to cover power and Vout screws with something because it does not have a notch out of box.Fan performance is okey, turning automatically on and off, no fumes for 4A has been ever observed. Used for about couple months periodically every week for several hours for 3D printer filament drier.
Definitely was the power supply - I have a Creality K1C 2025 and the fan on the other psu was astonishingly loud.This was a very simple swap, I'm writing this review sitting quietly next to the printer. Buy one!
I have an Auria 27" 1440P monitor whose power supply died, a common issue with these monitors. Instead of buying an expensive replacement that's the same cheap junk, I opted to buy something a little more industrial / high quality which actually cost less. This unit worked out nicely.The original power supply was a 24V DC 6 amp unit, so power draw should be 140 watts or so max. I chose this 350W power supply because I figured I'd rather go overkill, and my thought was drawing 50% power (probably much less) would keep the fan quiet or not coming on at all. Used to supply power to my 24 vdc Daakro ZK-1602T Bluetooth stereo amp that's rated at 160 watts x 2 and a Polk Atrium 8 speaker rated at 125 watts x 2 in stereo mode It worked great and now I have great sound out at my pool patio from my Android phone.
