These devices are rubber-like and fit nicely behind the knobs and do a good job of preventing accidental turning of the knobs. We got them because our new kitten likes to jump everywhere during his feeding times and has occasionally bumped a knob on. That freaked us out, so we thought it would be a good idea to find a solution to prevent it from happening again. We first tried safety covers, but they were too wide and didn’t work on our range which has 3 knobs on one side. Instead, these ones seem to be the right size. I actually purchased these for myself because I’m short! If I’m not careful when getting busy & using the oven, I have to lean forward and really stretch to push the oven button on. When doing this I have accidentally pushed & turned the burner button on the front of the oven on. The last time I started a fire, I had a cutting board on the stove top & I didn’t realize I turned the stove top on. I ordered these & yes they work & I haven’t had an issue of accidental turning the stove top on by leaning forward to turn the oven on.

I really like these. There are multiple ways to install them on your stove knobs even if they don’t pull off like mine. They are very easy to install and took me less than three minutes. Definitely do the quarter test to see what size will work best for you. These are the regular size. Does the job. Have to pull off the knobs to be able to slide this back into place because the ends get stuck underneath. I would've tried a different design honestly. Picked this one because it had the moms choice award. No sense in returning them and trying another set at this point. Not bad but the inconvenience of pulling the knobs on and off to slide it so it's tight and you can't turn the knobs is why I gave three stars. No so easy to use. These work exactly as described and effectively keep my kids from messing with the stove. These are so much simpler, less bulky, and easier to use than the traditional covers. These have been wonderful (and yes my kids have tried messing with the knobs unsuccessfully multiple times since I installed them).

I bought these stove knob covers to help prevent accidental burner activation, especially with kids in the house. Unfortunately, they ended up creating more problems than they solved.The biggest issue is that the covers stick out far enough that they can get caught on the oven door when it’s opened or closed. On my stove, the bottom edge of the oven door makes contact with the protectors, which causes them to shift and sometimes partially pop off.Because they sit so close to the oven door, they can also get very hot when the oven is in use.
