Fun camera, capable at getting photos at a few ranges. I've taken photos of birds, macro images of flowers, and random photos of where I live just because it is fun to use and not too difficult to keep on me more often. You can convince it to work in low light, setting it to take RAW images will let you be able to improve them more later. Manual control is pretty nice to have on a camera so small, and if you set a ceiling on the auto ISO it is very fun to use. After my Panasonic ZS100 camera became unusable I once again started a search for a compact camera with a good zoom range and RAW images for an acceptable price. And once again I found the successor of my previous camera the best option. Compact, easy to take with you, RAW support and a very nice zoom range. The camera has a very good image stabilization so taking pictures even at long zoom range works perfect. Small but seems to have just about everything I want in a camera. I just sold a Nikon DSLR and several lenses because I was tired of hauling it around. (I’m 70 and trying to simplify everything.) I did a lot of research and decided on this little camera over the Sony. I just didn’t want to spend what Sony asked. My wife and I travel in a motorhome and I want something easier to use but more flexible than a phone camera. Hopefully I will continue to be pleased with the purchase.

Great mini-camera, especially for someone who also uses a full-size SLR but can't take it everywhere. I previously owned the Lumix ZS100; it was destroyed in a flood. I like the ZS300 even better because of the longer zoom. Yes, the new model doesn't have a viewfinder. I never used the viewfinder, never had a problem seeing the display in bright sunlight. I also like the wi-fi connection on the ZS300 for sending JPGs instantly to my phone.

This is an excellent small camera with a good Leica lens and all the controls seen in professional DSLR to optimize the settings . The only minor drawback is the lack of a view finder. Focusing with the rear screen with large telephoto magnification is difficult in bright sunlight

Greta compact camera. Love the size. Planning on taking this on a cruise soon and excited to see what it can do. Feels very nice in the hand and is easy to use.
