This is such a cool little stove. I've bought and used different versions of these since I was old enough to hike and camp and this has been my favorite 1. It packs down small and is pretty light, it doesn't have a bunch of pieces to assemble and the large side door makes it easy to add more fuel. The most notable is how stable it is. I use it with a mess kit but you could use a full size cast iron pan on it without any problems. I liked it so much I've bought 1 for my son and 1 for nephew to use and wish I had something this nice when I was there age.

Red camp products excellent quality bought two of these and two other in another size. Folds up to pack into case provided. Can use wood or alcohol burner inside so multifunctional. Could cook on the grill or set pots on top. Strong enough to hold cast iron. Good value for durability. Even stored it inside a metal bucket so easy to use. Even checking out other products by this same company due to good quality.

Overall, this stove is ok for the price. It cooks well, but not very secure and stable. It folds compactly, but if try to move it, be careful because it falls apart. Able to cook something for one person, maybe for two. The ash pan will fall out of you move it much, same for the grill plate. I do like the grill plate is adjustable. My biggest complaint is that parts don't lock into place.Not sure to keep it or return and look for something else.Update: I have used it several times and decided to keep it, mostly have been cooking a couple sausages over charcoal, just fits. Overall this thing is great and a good value. On my unit the carry handle slightly interfered with the door. I made a slight bend in both handles. This does two things: it put tension on it so it stays where it is moved. It also pulled it up so it will not block the door from closing. I also added another stainless split ring on the door latch. This is so it doesn’t lay flat against the door. It gives a place to grab when it’s hot and it’s not flat against a hot stove door. This unit folds flat and seems sturdy enough to last a while. I have recently been wanting to go camping again. I haven’t been in so long that I did not have any gear which created two issues: 1. Starting at scratch 2. getting to try lots of new things!This was one of those little guilty pleasures. I had to ask myself a question: would I like to have a portable firebox I can use anywhere? Answer: YES.First of all, this stove has some weight to it. It is made out of stainless steel. (1) Protective film was removed prior to receiving. There were still little blue pieces of protective film stuck in the joints. I will need to figure out how to remove them. (2) No instructions came with stove. (3) While trying to figure out how to expand and assemble, I cut myself. Somewhere the metal edge is sharp. Next time I assemble this I will wear protective gloves. After figuring out those issues, this stove should serve it's purpose. I like that it comes with a carrying pouch. For being cheap, it is not too bad.

After researching many compact wood stoves, I decided on this one! I must say, I am very pleased! The stove comes packed in a nice carry case with ample room for adding a Bic lighter and fire starting material! The metal is heavy duty and decent thickness. It opens up easily and closes the same.
