All the reviews I read make perfect sense now. This remote works great and it actually seems like a regular fire stick remote. It’s identical to the original one except for one button. The setup was slightly different from the directions. It said to hold down the home button for 10 seconds while it paired with the TV and then you could choose the new remote. The other remote never came up to choose but it was paired anyway. The new remote kept blinking though and you have to remove the batteries to get the blinking to stop. Quality seems the same as the original and price was very reasonable.

Works great! Easy to setup and easy to use. The best way to set it up is to unplug your firestick for 1 min. Then, with your old controller go under settings and click on add new remote. Hold down the home button on the new controller and you’re good to go!

Like many, you want that 2nd remote. One for the boss, the second one for you. I researched for the remote and found this. Per the vendor, ‘fully compatible’ with my models of fire stick.
