This pedal is truly amazing. I've always had trouble with drum machines and the BeatBuddy is finally a drum machine done right. It is super easy to use, sounds amazing and gives you very powerful hands free control of the beat with very little effort.I'm a singer/songwriter and play acoustic guitar. I love this thing. I play guitar as a hobby typically by myself or with just a couple of buddies, and consider myself fairly decent. In working on some complex licks, I was having issues with considering the rhythm of songs I was trying to cover. It's amazing how authentic these drum beats are! It even has beatbox in the Voice Folder. lol. This pedal is fun. I, however, wished there were a Gospel folder or a soul folder. Sure, some say that most of gospel is just religious lyrics mated to music of different genres like country, jazz, Latin but I think there are some beats that are better suited to gospel music so far to me there aren't many on here but I only got the pedal this morning so i'll give it more time. After reading through reviews, I felt as a non-drummer I was hoping I could sit down and just start playing. That may be the case but I found there was certainly a learning curve. This comes with 200 songs, but how do you pick one of these songs that match what you are trying to play on your guitar efficiently, and what do you do if you cannot differentiate between 3/4 time and 6/8 time. Great pedal with a lot of high quality drum sounds built in. Has great functionality with single press doing a quick fill, holding the pedal transitions to another part, and double tapping stops the song.The only real problem I have with it (and you can find tons of people online complaining about this as well) is that Singular Sound stopped updating the Beat Buddy Manager software I think about a year ago now. They took a watered down version of the software and made a browser based version called “Beat Buddy Manager Online” which is missing a lot of key features that the offline software has

i really love this thing. the kits on it sound real, and pairing it with a drumbrute impact for sequencing+performing makes for one hell of a combo. as someone who wants to make both electronic music and metal, this really bridged the gap between both halves of my setup as much as i hoped it would. here it is for size reference along with the DBI:BB mapping if you wanted to play around with it that way too.
