This oscillating multi-tool is terrific! My first job over the weekend was to replace a section of drywall (about 22"x15" in our dishwasher cabinet. The wall was damaged when our dishwasher broke and flooded the cabinet with water. I never could have made as close fitting, right-angle, and straight cuts with a normal hand drywall saw. I watched a couple of training videos online, but found that the best way for me (at least until I get more experience) to cut a long straight line, is to "plunge cut" along the pencil line. Probably use this tool more than any other, especially good at drywall, but also trims wood when needed. So convenient with the battery operation and works as well as my electric one.

I ordered this multitool here on Amazon after considering the Bosch 12v and 18v, and the Skil 20v (non-brushless) version. I'm based in the Philippines and the Skil 20v multitool available locally is the non-brushless version, without the vibration reduction head and without the quick change lock. Considering the shipping fee and taxes, I decided to bite the bullet, just order and have it shipped directly from Amazon. At that time, there was no available stock, around mid April 2020, but I went ahead and preordered.When it finally was in stock, it left the USA 3 days ago and I just received it

Perfect for a handyman homeowner. I prefer DeWalt these days, but I can't imagine their tool is that much better for the price. No toolbag. I found one for around $10. Recommended.

High quantity but pricey

I ordered a Skil oscillating tool kit which arrived with its battery covered with a black sticky liquid. Amazon sent me a replacement kit which had the same problem. I contacted Skil customer service who said the liquid is a cooling solution and that the damaged battery should not be used. It seems that it was manufactured in 2020 based on the serial number and Skil has solved the problem in more recently manufactured batteries one of which they will send me in 6 weeks. Since I ordered it for an ongoing project, I have ordered another battery from Ace as I don’t trust Amazon won’t send me anot

It was a good oscillating saw. I use this tool every day doing floor installation. This one lasted almost 3 years. I suspect it would have lasted longer if not for the anti vibration head. That seems to be the weak link of what is otherwise a powerful and smooth saw. It's less expensive than the DeWalt equivalent but then the guy I know who has the DeWalt bought it before I bought this and his is still going. I like Skil tools but so far the longevity isn't there.
