This is probably the best bang for your buck for a beginner router and table. Assembly is simple.This is not a high end router table, but it is perfect for the weekend warrior, beginner hobbyist and DIY garage dad. It's probably the best "bang for your buck" all in one router set.I don't see myself outgrowing it for many years.The only downsizes are it's height and storage doors. When placed on my bench, the table top is a little high. If you have a tall workbench, take that into consideration. The storage area needs more shelves. This is a great little router table. As a novice wood worker, it has accomplished everything I’ve wanted to try so far! When it arrived, it was missing some adjusting knobs for the fence so I contacted customer support and they were very pleasant to work with and quickly sent the parts out to me! If your looking for one of these I would definitely recommend this one to you!

First off, I would recommend this combo to any diy'r out there. However, a couple of negatives (none of which would stop any operation from being performed) must be noted. 1st, the router can use both 1/4 and 1/2 inch shank bits, but, when using 1/4 inch shank you insert a 1/4 inch collet into the 1/2 inch collet, instead of removing the 1/2 and installing a one piece 1/4 collet. This works, just use extra care, check closely for wobble, and, of course, keep the parts clean. 2nd, You should get some pan head screws for mounting the SKIL router to the mounting plate, instead of reusing the orig
