Oh wow this headphone has surpassed my expectations! Usually open back dynamic drivers have a hefty sub-bass rolloff, these don’t sound like that at all! It’s a v-shaped tuning, good layering, nice open staging and dynamic sounding. It’s an open back that takes the bass from a closed back but without the odd timbre you usually get with a non dsp closed back. Tbh these don’t even need eq, and I’d pick these up over my Audeze maxwell any day. The comfort is a 10/10 for me and it’s one of the lightest headphones I’ve ever used aside from my koss kph40. I had purchased the Sony MDR-MV1 and absolutely loved them, however when I saw Sony released this I ordered a pair and was blown away to see that it was more comfortable, has the same sound signature (same drivers), a built in mic, came with a DAC/AMP. These headphones are incredible. I can’t believe they are half the price as the MV1s. Honestly even if you’re not a gamer and want a pair of MV1s just pick this up and remove the mic. I bought the Sony INZONE H6 Air because I wanted something lighter and more comfortable for long gaming sessions on my PC and PS5. Most of the headsets I've used over the years were closed-back and would make my ears feel warm after a couple of hours. Sounds are pretty good. While also being able to hear my surroundings. Feels comfortable to wear for long sessions. I like how you can detach the microphone when you don’t need it. If you wanted to use a dedicated mic for example. Light weight so it don’t feel like it weighs your head down.

Absolutely incredible………I gave been gaming with a pair of turtle beach headphones for years, now with these Sonys it’s like I’m playing a different game. Directional sound in call of duty is unreal, like I’m in the room. It’s hard to even put in words. These will not drown out the sound around you, if that’s what you need in your environment don’t get these. They weigh nothing, the most comfortable pair of headphones I have ever put on. They breathe almost like I’m not wearing them. Sony absolutely cooked with these.

I ended up returning these because my ears were touching the inside of the headphone, but that’s a me issue.The headphones themselves are super light weight, you almost feel like you’re wearing nothing.The microphone is crisp and sounds good.The sound quality was very good as well.Overall I would personally have kept these if my ears didn’t touch the inside of the headphone.

Dead on arrival. Super comfortable but one side of the headset didn't work. Tried the DAC and straight headset jack on the computer. Adjusted levels, messed with settings in Windows, just didn't work at all.

The caveat here is the price point. For a roughly $200 pair of headphones, the sound quality is very good. They don't compare to my Neumann NDH30s or my Sennheiser HD800 series but they are rock solid for the price, AND they have a quality microphone which is rare with a decent quality set of headphones. They are also very light and very comfortable. If you're using them for your remote work job they are going to be great. Buy them!
