The Amazon movie rental worked well with no issues. I love this movie. My sister went to see this on a class trip in the 1960's, I hink 1965 when it came to the theater. She loved it and when it finally came to television it was a classic from the start. Julie Andrews is the living proof that she is and will always be among the greatest of all.

Not only is it based on a true story it is one of the best musical movies they’re created. It’s about a nun that can’t seem like she fits in and they send her to a home to be a governess and she brings life back into that home since they’re mothers passing. Don’t want to say too much just go and watch it. Great family movie/ a good story.

first off let me say that this is the Blu-ray that I bought not the DVD Amazon has a nasty habit of letting people review movies that are watching them on VHS or even on their video streaming service almost never can tell which format they're reviewing I bought the Blu-ray the price was certainly right or this classic this is the first time it's been affordable. Okay The first time I saw this movie was on a one of the largest screens in the country I live in Houston it was at a place called The Windsor Cinerama the way ahead of its time I saw 2001 there's as well and it was quite an experience

This musical is a total joy to watch; I would not even try to count the number of times I've seen it but it always remains beautiful and lovely to watch and hear. This particular version is well planned and presented and seems to nicely capture the special nature of the 45th Anniversary of this fine work.It will need a special place on your shelf as it is not intended to simply fit in with all of your other discs; it is, however, worthy of the honor as it is beautifully executed and includes all of the special extras that come with the Blu-ray disc that make it truly a collectors choice.First

So I got the DVD of the movie "The Sound of Music" which is the 50th anniversary edition, I honestly love Julie Andrews singing in the film. Oh and Christopher Plummer, the late actor, he was very amazing in the film.I love the musical moments of the film and the songs they bring back a lot of memories for me, So I recommend you watch the movie for yourself, and own the movie either on DVD or Blu-ray.
