Very strong magnet. Highly recommend.

I love this seam guide! I bought it to use on my vintage Dressmaker sewing machine. I was concerned at first about the strong magnetic force of the seam guide. But after using it a few times and learning how to use it, it has been fantastic. It is a large size device. It is very stable and firmly stays in place. Once you get used to it, it is very easy and so helpful with making straight seams on my vintage machine. Note: I would NOT use it on newer electronic / computerized machines due to the strong magnetic force of the guide.

Inexpensive, strong magnet and adjustable spring and screw design. Getting into using a sewing machine to make stuff. And when you sew things, the best indicator of someone’s skills is that they can sew a straight lines and corners and smooth curves. This little guide helps with the straight lines. It’s very handy, if your sewing machine has some metal to stick it too. I find that older machines are nearly all metal so it’s not an issue, but the new machines have more plastic. So it may not work with every machine. But it works for me, as it have freaking old ass sewing machines. One is from 1
