For years, I struggled with a sponge holder that kept falling off. I gave this a try, and it not only looks good, it's been attached to the wall above the sink for some time and has never detached. When the sponge dries, it can stick a little to the metal but it's easy to pull off without the gadget falling into the sink.

My search for excellent holders was completed 3 years ago when I found these holders. Now, I needed another one for brushes. Extra suction cups are appreciated, but not yet needed. Originals keep holding.

Update, I found that when I placed the holder lower down in the sink, the suction cups worked much better.Although there are 4 suction cups included with one holder, none of them perform consistently. The first several weeks, the unit worked fairly well. After that, I have not been able to get the holder to remain “stuck” to the sink for more than half a day or so. I love the style but there is little to no function.
