I am so impressed with this black marble sponge and brush holder. I was tired of cheap plastic or metal caddies that rust, slide around, or look messy next to the sink, so I decided to upgrade to this natural stone piece, and it is worth every penny.The first thing you notice is the weight. It is heavy and incredibly stable, meaning it stays firmly in place with its non-slip base and doesn't tip over when you place a heavy dish brush inside. Really pretty and ours had a nice smooth surface. Deducted one star because it is shown in pics with the round brush (which we have the same one) and it "does fit" technically....but takes some work to get all the bristles in. If the product was just 1/4 inch wider then you would be able to easily drop the brush in when you are done washing a dish. Kept it only because it's a good look and I did not see anything else that was "absorbable" like marble which was important to me.

I absolutely love this handy sponge holder! Unlike some other reviews, I do not care that a brush AND sponge do not fit at the same time as I rarely use a brush. My sponge fits in it like a glove. The sides are just tall enough to keep drips off the counter but open enough to allow plenty of air circulation for drying. The exterior is a perfectly smooth surface. I suspect the interior is left rough and unfinished so the marble will absorb moisture better. It has a fairly small footprint, so it doesn’t take up a lot of precious counter space. The piece itself it good quality and looks very nice, but it's quite small and didn't happen to fit any of the brushes we have, so it's only about half useful. If I happen to find a brush that fits, that'll be cool, though it seems like one that fits would also likely be one that's a bit too small to be very useful.

This is a great heavy solid marble sponge holder that is sure to make any kitchen counter look great. It's absolutely amazing how this thing is made. It looks like they take a solid hunk of black marble and drill out the center section and polish the remainder. What a great idea! It's absolutely beautiful in its simplicity. The two sections that are cut into this hunk of marble are perfect for either holding two sponges or holding a brush and a sponge. It’s quite heavy, so put it somewhere it won’t fall.The soap dish comes with little rubber feet you can opt to put on the bottom to help with slipping, or you can leave them off!It’s the perfect size for two things; we have our chainmail cast iron scrubber and a typical kitchen sponge sitting in.We tend to wring our things out before we put them in the holder so we never put them in sopping wet, but there’s always some water leftover that dries very quickly.It’s easy to clean, and overall I’d say excellent quality!
