An oscillating multi-tool is only as good as the blade on it, and the blade that came in the box is usually the first thing to go dull. For wood, the choice is about tooth shape (Japanese double-row teeth cut fast and clean in timber and PVC, bi-metal teeth survive the odd nail), steel (high-carbon for wood only, bi-metal or titanium-coated when screws are in the way), blade width (narrow for plunge cuts, wide for straight ones), and whether the mount fits your tool. We ranked the multi-tool blade kits in our tools catalog by those four things, by pieces per dollar, and by what thousands of owners report after cutting door jambs, flooring and baseboard with them.
We have not run every kit through a stud ourselves; the verdicts rest on the spec sheets and on the owner review history. Prices are not printed because they change daily; every button opens the live Amazon page. For the all-materials kits that mix in grout and metal blades, see our oscillating tool blades guide, and for the grinder on the next shelf our cut-off wheels for angle grinders guide. Do Best Deal ranks by owner history, not by who sends samples.
How we picked
- Wood first. Every kit is built around wood and plastic cutting; grout, tile and hard-metal blades are a bonus, not the point.
- Steel named. High-carbon steel for clean wood, bi-metal or titanium-coated for wood with nails. We list which each kit includes.
- Fit stated. Seven picks use the universal quick-release mount; the Bosch set is Starlock only, and we say so because they do not cross over.
- Pieces that are blades. The 156 and 193 piece kits count sandpaper; we note how many real blades you get.
- Owner history. Every pick holds a strong owner rating across hundreds to many thousands of owner reviews, and the ranking weighs review volume, rating and fit for wood.
The picks
LEILUO 156Pcs Oscillating Saw Blades for Wood Metal, Multi Tool Blades

The LEILUO 156 is the kit for a renovation rather than a repair. The headline number is mostly sandpaper and pads, but the blades that are in it matter: CrV steel with aggressive double-row Japanese teeth for wood, drywall and PVC, plus titanium-plated and bi-metal blades for the moment a plunge cut finds a screw, plus scrapers for old glue and a hook knife for carpet. The quick-release mount fits the major brands; LEILUO is clear that it does not fit any Starlock tool. Owners widely praise the breadth and the price per piece; most owner complaints mention the sandpaper count inflating the piece total and the sanding pad hook-and-loop wearing. For a bathroom or floor job where you will sand as much as you cut, it is the right box.
- CrV Japanese teeth cut hardwood and PVC faster than plain high-carbon
- Sanding pads, scrapers and a hook knife in the same case
- Titanium and bi-metal blades for the nails you did not see
- Strong owner rating from a large review base
- Most of the 156 pieces are sandpaper, not blades
- Not compatible with Starlock, Starlock Plus or Max
- Case is bulky for a jobsite bag
LEILUO 50Pcs Oscillating Saw Blades Universal Multitool Blade Set

The LEILUO 50 is for the person who has already learned they use the plain plunge blade nine times out of ten. It is 25 blades at 1-3/8 inch and 25 at 1-3/4 inch, high-carbon steel with a black coating against rust and laser-etched depth marks in inches and millimetres so a door jamb undercut repeats across a hallway. Four adapters cover the mounts the quick-release does not. It is widely praised by owners as the cheapest way to stop worrying about dulling a blade. Most owner complaints are the honest limit of high-carbon steel: one nail and the blade is finished, so keep a bi-metal blade from another kit for demolition. For trim, flooring and PVC it is the pack a contractor buys twice.
- Fifty real blades in the two most-used widths
- Depth markings in both units for repeatable plunge cuts
- Rust-resistant coating; strong owner rating
- Adapters in the box for odd mounts
- High-carbon only, so a hidden nail ends the blade
- No scrapers or sanding pieces
- Narrow and wide only; no semicircle or flush-cut shapes
TrivdPro 100PCS Oscillating Saw Blades, Multitool Blades for Wood Plastics

The TrivdPro 100 is the bulk pack owners rate highest, and it keeps things simple: one hundred blades, all 1-3/8 inch, in high-carbon and stainless steel with length marks on both faces. That width is the one that does flush cuts on baseboard, plunge cuts in subfloor and trimming in PVC pipe, so a box of a hundred lasts a long time in a home shop. The universal mount fits DeWalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, Fein MultiMaster and the rest without an adapter. TrivdPro warns in its own listing that the blades are not for screws and bolts, which is honest and true of every plain-steel blade on this page. Owners widely praise the sharpness out of the box and the consistency across the box; most owner complaints mention the single width. For wood work it is the pack with the fewest regrets.
- The best owner rating of any bulk pack here
- A hundred blades of the single most useful width
- Marked in both units for accurate cuts
- Fits the major brands without an adapter
- One width only
- TrivdPro says plainly it is not for screws and bolts
- Priced above the LEILUO 50 per blade
193 Pack Oscillating Saw Blades, Bi-Metal Oscillating Tool Blades with All Size Sandpaper, Multitool Blades Kits for Wood Metal Plastics Quick Release Fit Dewalt Ryobi Rockwell Makita

The 193-pack is the sanding kit that happens to include blades, and it is worth knowing that before you buy. Ten blades, CrV with Japanese teeth for wood and bi-metal for the nails and screws, come with two triangular pads and 160 sheets of zirconia sandpaper from 40 to 320 grit. Zirconia is the upgrade: it holds its grit far longer than the aluminium oxide sheets other kits throw in, which matters when the job is refinishing a window sill or a stair tread with the same tool you cut it with. Owners widely praise the sandpaper and the quick-release fit on DeWalt, Ryobi and Makita; most owner complaints mention wanting more blades for the money and the kit not fitting Starlock tools. Buy it for the sanding; the blades are a good bonus.
- Zirconia sandpaper outlasts the aluminium oxide in most kits
- Japanese-tooth CrV blades for wood plus bi-metal for nails
- Full grit range from 40 to 320
- Strong owner rating
- Only ten blades; the rest is sandpaper
- Not compatible with Starlock mounts
- Semicircle blade can wander on soft wood until you get the feel
AIFICUT 26pcs Oscillating Saw Blades Titanium Multitool Blades for Wood Plastics Metal oscillating Tool Blades Kits Fit Rockwell Ridgid Ryobi Milwaukee Chicago Craftsman Dewalt

The AIFICUT 26 is for the wood that is never just wood: old studs with hidden nails, trim with brads, pallet boards with screws. Every blade is titanium-coated, which trades a little cutting speed in clean timber for the ability to go through a fastener and keep going. The kit fits Rockwell, Ridgid, Ryobi, Milwaukee, Craftsman and DeWalt on the universal mount. Owners widely praise the durability in demolition compared with the plain high-carbon blades they used before; most owner complaints mention the slower cut in clean hardwood and the listing not spelling out blade widths. Pair it with a bulk high-carbon pack for the clean cuts and keep these for the dirty ones.
- Titanium coating survives nails and screws that kill plain steel
- Twenty-six blades for demolition and remodel work
- Fits the common cordless brands out of the box
- Strong owner rating
- Titanium blades cut wood slower than Japanese-tooth CrV
- Fewer shapes than the Bionso kit
- Listing is light on exact blade widths

If your multi-tool is a Bosch or Fein with the Starlock mount, the universal kits above will not fit it, and this seven-piece Bosch set is the wood kit to buy. It holds bi-metal plunge-cut blades in 20, 32 and 65 millimetre widths, two of the most-used sizes doubled up, and an 85 millimetre HCS segment blade for long straight cuts in flooring and sheet goods. The Starlock cup interface locks in three dimensions, so the blade does not slip under load the way a worn universal mount can. It carries the best owner rating on this page. Most owner complaints are the price per blade next to the bulk packs, which is the Starlock tax, and the terse listing. For a Starlock owner there is no cheaper good option.
- The only Starlock set here; nothing else on the page fits those tools
- Bosch bi-metal plunge blades in three widths plus a segment blade
- Best owner rating on the page
- Starlock 3D interface transfers full power with no slip
- Seven blades for the price of fifty generic ones
- Starlock only; useless on a universal-mount tool
- Listing text is terse and mislabels one blade code
LEILUO 15Pcs Oscillating Tool Blades for Wood, Japanese Teeth Fast Cut

The LEILUO 15 solves one specific problem: a standard blade is too short to get through a 2x4 or to reach into a wall cavity. These are 70 millimetres long and 44 wide, in black CrV steel with double-row Japanese teeth, so they plunge deep and stay straight because the wide profile acts as its own guide. They are strictly for wood and plastic. Owners widely praise the reach for cutting out old sill plates and notching joists; most owner complaints mention some flex when the full 70 millimetres is buried in hardwood and the usual plain-steel vulnerability to nails, which is why they sit last here despite being the only long blades on the page. Keep a pack for the cuts nothing else can make.
- Seventy millimetre reach for 2x4s and deep plunge cuts
- Wide 44 mm profile keeps the cut straight
- Japanese teeth cut fast in hard and soft wood
- Fifteen blades of the one size deep-cut jobs need
- Wood and plastic only; a nail finishes the blade
- The weakest owner rating here, with complaints about flex on long cuts
- Does not fit Starlock

Universal or Starlock: check the tool first
Most cordless multi-tools from DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Ridgid, Rockwell, Worx and Craftsman use an open universal mount, and the quick-release blades in seven of these kits snap on with no adapter. Bosch and Fein moved to Starlock, a cup-shaped mount that grips the blade on a 3D ridge; it transfers more torque and never slips, but it only accepts Starlock blades. The Bosch set here is the only one that fits it, and none of the universal kits will. Older Fein MultiMaster tools with the pin mount take the universal blades with the adapter most kits include. If you are unsure, look at the blade that came with your tool: a flat tab with a hole pattern is universal, a raised cup is Starlock.
Which steel for which wood
High-carbon steel (the LEILUO 50, TrivdPro and the wood blades in most kits) is the sharpest and cheapest, cuts clean softwood and plywood fast, and dies on the first nail. CrV with Japanese double-row teeth (LEILUO, the 193-pack) stays sharp longer in hardwood and PVC and is the best choice for a trim carpenter. Bi-metal welds a hard tooth strip to a flexible body so the blade survives nails and screws, and titanium coating does the same job with a harder surface; both cut clean wood a little slower. The honest setup is a bulk high-carbon or CrV pack for the clean work and a few bi-metal or titanium blades, from the Bionso, AIFICUT or Bosch kits, held back for demolition.
Width, length and the cut you need
Narrow 1-3/8 inch blades plunge into drywall and subfloor and turn tight corners; wide 1-3/4 inch blades hold a straight line for undercutting jambs and trimming shims. Standard blades reach about two inches, enough for trim and 3/4 inch flooring but not a 2x4 on edge, which is why the 70 millimetre LEILUO exists. Semicircle and segment blades, in the Bionso, 193-pack and Bosch sets, make long shallow cuts in sheet goods and flooring that a plunge blade cannot keep straight. Flush-cut blades, offset so the tool body clears the floor, are what you want for cutting door casings for new flooring; the Bionso and LEILUO 156 kits include them.
Which multi-tool blade is best for cutting wood?
For clean wood, a CrV or high-carbon blade with Japanese double-row teeth cuts fastest and cleanest; the LEILUO and TrivdPro packs are the bulk choices. For wood that may hide nails, use a bi-metal or titanium blade from the Bionso, AIFICUT or Bosch kits.
Do these blades fit my DeWalt, Milwaukee or Ryobi?
The seven universal quick-release kits fit DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Ryobi, Ridgid, Rockwell, Worx and Craftsman without an adapter, and most include adapters for older mounts. Only the Bosch Starlock set fits Bosch and Fein Starlock tools, and it fits nothing else.
Why do oscillating blades dull so fast in hardwood?
Oscillating blades cut by rubbing thousands of short strokes a minute, which builds heat. Let the tool do the work with light pressure, keep the speed moderate in oak and maple, and expect a plain high-carbon blade to last a few hardwood cuts; CrV and bi-metal last longer.
Can I cut through nails with a wood blade?
Not with a high-carbon or CrV wood blade; one nail will strip the teeth. The bi-metal blades in the Bionso, 193-pack and Bosch kits and the titanium-coated AIFICUT blades are built for wood with nails and screws.
Are the 156 and 193 piece kits really that many blades?
No. Most of the count is sandpaper and pads. The LEILUO 156 and the 193-pack each include around ten blades plus sanding gear, which is excellent if you sand with your multi-tool and poor value if you only cut.
